The Executive Committee of the Exile SPD (Social Democratic Party of Germany) established as a "foreign representation" in the Saarland and then moved to Prague, after the SPD was banned by the Nazi regime in June 22, 1933. The SOPADE prepared many reports concerning the inner situation in Germany during the Nazi regime - reports, which shed light especially on the state of public opinion in Nazi Germany.
